Sarah's Poodle Skirts Review & Giveaway

This past Friday was the annual Sock Hop at Alexa's school.  This was our 3rd year attending and as always it's tons of fun....a bit crazy, but FUN!

The girls always get so excited about dressing up in 50's attire and dancing with their friends.  And let's be honest, there is no skirt out there that is as fun to twirl in than a poodle skirt.

Sarah from Sarah's Poodle Skirt Palace graciously offered to make Alexa and Lillian their poodle skirts this year and we could not have been more pleased with how they turned out.  They are simply perfection!

She allowed the girls to select a skirt in the color and puppy pattern of choice.  Alexa wanted the yellow skirt with Patty Poodle and Lillian chose a black skirt with a pink Patty Poodle.

The skirts are all custom made to height and waist size.  It is made with high-quality felt.  The poodle is hand cut and accented with soft furry felt.  The waistband is a thick black elastic with a row of rhinestones to simulate a belt buckle.

A very unique feature to the skirts is the custom tag inside each one.  It includes the child's name and the skirts measurements.  This may not be a big deal to some, but my girls thought it was very special.

There were so many children at the sock hop and most of them wore some sort of poodle skirt.  I have to say that Alexa and Lillian's skirts definitely stood out as very high-quality and looked very professionally made.  No poodles or embellishments falling off, the elastic made sure that the skirt stayed snug around their waists, so they were able to dance their little hearts out without fidgeting with their dress.

To complete the look, I bought a couple plain white t-shirts and stamped their initials on the front in black.  Their socks were white with a ruffle accent that they wore with their chuck taylor tennis shoes.  

We also put their hair up in a high pony tail and tied it with a bow to match their skirts.
