Upa-Lala Review & Giveaway

The other day a friend of mine posted a picture on Facebook of the lunches she packed for her kids to take to school.  {why she did this, I have no idea - I mean really, why do we post the things we do on Facebook??...but anyways..} The lunches included some pita sandwiches with all the fixings (lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese..ect) packaged separately, along with some other sides that each had their own plastic baggie.  After thinking..oooh, that lunch looks yummy I thought, wow - that's a lot of plastic bags for one day of lunches.  I counted 5 baggies x 2 kids = 10 baggies and times that by 5 days a week (give or take) that's roughly 50 plastic bags used per week...and that's not even counting if she packs a lunch for herself.
Pretty outrageous, pretty spendy and not very eco-friendly, if you ask me.

I had to send her a message right away about my favorite snack bags from Upa-Lala, which will hopefully change the way she packs her lunches...forever!

My friend Brittan is the amazing creator and designer of  Upa-Lala where she offers Eco-Bags in large, medium and small sizes - perfect for packing school lunches or taking a snack/lunch to work.  They can replace the use of plastic bags and can be used over and over again.  They are very easy to maintain - just throw them in the wash with the rest of your laundry.  They can be machine washed and dried.

Brittan's Eco-Bag's are made from high-quality designer fabrics with a separate layer of water resistant material on the inside.

Upa-Lala Eco-Bags come in three different styles - zipper closure, drawstring and backpack.

The smaller zipper style bags are easiest for packing lunches, but the larger sizes work great for when you're out and about or traveling with baby/toddler - they work extremely well for containing wet or dirty items, such as damp cloth diaper, swim suits, worn gym clothes, beach towels or for some fresh fruit or other snacks.

Brittan has spoiled my family with her wonderful product and we just cannot get enough use out of each one.
We currently have a few of her snack sized bags, which are a huge favorite with the girls.  They love to throw some goldfish crackers in there or some trail mix so that they can take it to gymnastics or to have in the car.  I use the larger sized Eco-Bags for so many things - we've used them for wet swimsuits, carrying a larger variety of healthy snack foods while we travel (it's nice to be able to keep all food contained to one place and have it secure in a water-resistant material), and even for the girls' gymnastics gear.

[inside the drawstring upa-lala bag we have a water bottle, upa-lala snack bag (with fishy crackers inside) and a leotard - all ready for gymnastics training]
We use our Upa-Lala Eco-Bags daily and feel so good knowing that we are making an eco-friendly choice by doing so - plus, what can I say - they are TOTALLY adorable!  The fabric options for little girls, boys and even us mama's are phenomenal.  You won't be able to fall in love with just one...

I love these! Love that it's the perfect bag to throw wet swimmers into - and I have a boy that loves water. So hard to pick just one fabric, but I am slightly more partial to the whale design: http://www.etsy.com/listing/91570597/wet-bag-or-eco-bag-with-drawstring?
