Friday Letters

Photobucket

Dear Friday, we did it - we made it through the first full week of 'back to work' after having much time off over the holidays.  We are finally back into our regular scheduled programing here at the Lares house and  - - it's nice.  I thoroughly enjoyed all the extra time off to be home and with my family, but having a routine again isn't so bad either.

Dear Lillian, I'm so proud of you, baby girl.  You rocked it at your Kindergarten screening this week and you have proved to Mommy and Daddy that you are SO ready for Kindergarten this Fall.  We are so thrilled with your eagerness to learn and your enthusiasm to try new things.  But, remember your promise - - you'll always let me call you my 'baby', no matter how old you are or what grade you're in.  I love you so much, Cruzie! xoxo

Dear Alexa, I love your creativity when it comes to fashion design.  You love clothes and have an eye for style, so I have no doubt that these designs you've created will hit the runway...in fact, {in the first pic} the leggings with jean shorts over the top is your signature look and I have to say, I'm kinda diggin it.

{note:  Alexa is secretly hoping that she will get discovered here on my blog for her designs below and someone will maybe want to 'buy' them??  Any takers??}

Dear Ice Skates, I hope you're ready to get the dust wiped off this weekend.  So excited to put you on again and have a fun day of skating tomorrow.  I hope we have many more dates together this winter.  Now, let's just keep our fingers crosses that the weather is decent.

Dear Rain, really?  Rain in January - - in MINNESOTA?  What is this all about?  I'm not complaining - - because it has been rather mild as far as temps this winter, but I'm afraid what the road conditions will bring when it freezes.

Dear Gymnastics, because of you and my girls' obsession over you, my carpet is beginning to suffer.  The little 'runway' they've created in the living room is starting to wear and the carpet is starting to bubble where they stick their landings.  I may need to invest in some tumbling mats.

Dear Husband, thank you so much for spending so much time {on your day off} cleaning the house the other day.  It's been chaos since the holidays and I finally feel like we've got some order to this place.  You are the best and I will never take the time and effort you put into helping me out around here for granted.  Mmmwaah!

Dear Andrea, thank you for sharing the great headband deal you found at Walmart - I ran there yesterday to pick up a few for the girls.  They'll get their first test run tonight at gymnastics practice.  I'm hoping they will not only hold Alexa's hair back and out of her face, but stay in place while she's flipping and tumbling.

Have a great weekend, friends.
