We have had the Olympics on our brains all year - counting down the days until the trails and then the opening ceremony!! We just love everything about both the summer and winter Olympics and now that our girls are little older and both active in gymnastics themselves - it makes it even more fun because they can share in our joy and excitement.
This weekend was one of the very first all summer so far that we haven't had much planned, so it made things even more exciting that we were actually going to be home to watch the opening ceremony and the start of the events we wanted to see.

My favorite events are: gymnastics, beach volleyball, swimming and diving
and the hubs' favorites besides mine include soccer, basketball, wresting and ping ping.

| Team USA! Is it just me or does it get a little emotional when you see the US athletes all marching together?? What an accomplishment for all those involved and I can't imagine what it must feel like to them being at the OLYMPICS representing our country! |

For the next month, I am going to be glued to the TV cheering for all my favorite athletes.

Those are great pics! I feel like whenever I try to take pics of my tv, they never turn out :)
The opening ceremony was ok. I loved some parts but got bored during others. I've been staying up and watching the gymnastics and swimming. It's fun but I'm so tired!
