It's been tradition since Alexa was born that we go to the Aquatennial Torchlight Parade in Minneapolis. It's apart of their big summer celebration and it's always been so much fun!
The parade starts at 8:30 and usually lasts about an hour and a half - 2 hours.
We stopped to pick up Adam at work and Alexa said, "Mom, we have to take a picture - you and Daddy match". I promise you, we did not plan this!
This is a pretty HUGE event, so it's important to get there early to get a spot to sit with a nice view.
We were there an hour and a half early and had a great spot (until a bunch of bratty kids came and stood right in front of us...grr!)
To kick off the parade - the marathon runners begin their race!

| We bought ice-cream treats while we waited for the parade! {Alexa's headband is from Jillian Raye Designs} |

| After the runners begin their race - the Blue Angels to a fly-over which indicates the start of the parade! It's such a beautiful sight - they are so in sync! |

It's really hard to take any decent pictures of the parade because it's dark, but I had to get one of CenterPoint Energy and their torches!
...and my FAVORITE..
...the unicyclers!
It was such a beautiful night!
The day before we were so HOT at temperatures over 100 degrees - but, we sat through the parade in sweatshirts and goosebumps!!! Imagine that!
VOTE FOR ME PLEASE!!
