I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!!
Ours was very nice - but, so different than the Easter we're used to. When normally we would have been traveling to either mine or Adam's parents on Friday to spend the weekend, we were instead at gymnastics training with Alexa.
Because of this and Adam having to work on Saturday, we stayed home this year - just us. We missed being with our families so much. This was our very first holiday that was spent with just the 4 of us.
Saturday morning we woke up and colored Easter Eggs.
The girls had so much fun making fun designs, drawing pictures and mixing colors on their eggs.
We're all pretty proud of how they turned out.
After coloring our eggs, we got ready to go to Adam's work in Minneapolis for their big Easter celebration.
We got their early to help set up - and Alexa and Lillian took over the front desk.
We had a little bit of lunch..
..got their faces painted..
..did some arts and crafts..
..and saw the Easter Bunny. {Lilli wanted nothing to do with it..}
Luckily the rain stopped and we were able to have the big Easter Egg Hunt outside.
| Riyo, Alexa and Lilli - and all the eggs the found! |
| The girls with their Papa! *The eggs were spread out all around the lake in the background! |
Afterwards, we stayed to help clean up (and play in the gym)...
Alexa and Lillian practiced their splits!
The Easter Bunny came Sunday morning -
Looking at their Easter Baskets...
Counting the eggs..
The Easter Bunny left them a note that said they had been good, so he left them 51 eggs to find.
And of course, lots of goodies in their baskets.
They ate their eggs for breakfast...their favorite part was cracking them open.
Out of all the pictures I took over the weekend, I missed taking one of them before church. :(
I have struggled with a terrible cold all weekend - so, I'll blame it on that.
After church, Adam served us an amazing Easter lunch - roast with veggies. It was so delicious.
We took a little rest, then spent some time outside...
..played with Chip..
And jumped on the trampoline..
To end the weekend we cuddled up together and watched Nanny McPhee. :)
